Dr Clayton fully understands that many of you will have concerns about the current outbreak of Covid-19 and we would like to share with you the new measures we have put in place to protect our patients, staff and the public at this time.
Dr Clayton strongly recommends that patients use the option of a video consultation as an alternative to coming into clinic. Dr Clayton can only see 'urgent' dermatology cases in a face to face appointment. Tim prefers to review 'non-urgent and follow up' cases via his virtual online platform.
For the foreseeable future his face to face appointments will be on a Tuesday morning. We have introduced protective equipment for your safety.
Dr Clayton will continue to treat patients but we have updated our processes to follow Government advice.
If you are attending the clinics Dr Clayton will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment(PPE). PPE is a necessary measure to reduce the risk of virus transmission and is for your protection.
We will also ask you to wear PPE – gloves and a face mask.
Dr Clayton's clinic has being carefully scheduled to allow social distancing and cleaning between patients. A member of the team will advise where to sit when you arrive at the reception in order for us to maintain maximum distance between patients in any waiting area.
We ask that you do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that the waiting areas do not get too busy. We also ask that you attend appointments on your own where possible, or advise us on your registration form if you plan to bring someone along with you. For families with children one parent only should attend with their child.
On entering the clinic, you will be asked to have your temperature taken via infra red thermometer. A fever is one of the main symptoms of Coronavirus; if you have a high temperature Dr Clayton will ask you to return home and we will reschedule your appointment at a later date or as a video consultation if appropriate.
If you have any concerns about accessing or attending Dr Clayton's clinic we are happy to answer any questions via phone or email prior to your appointment.
If you have had a temperature, or persistent cough 2 weeks before your appointment then your appointment will need re-arranging.
It is essential that you follow all the latest advice re: coronavirus infection to limit the spread of this highly infectious virus.
