Dr Tim Clayton is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a UK certified dermatologist. (CCT Derm)
Dr Clayton was named in the top 100 children’s doctors in the Times (UK) 2013.
He has completed postgraduate training and examinations in both paediatrics and dermatology. (MRCPCH,FRCP,CCT Dermatology). 80% of his NHS workload is devoted to children’s skin disease.
In 2014 he hosted and co-chaired the Annual British Society for Pediatric Dermatology Symposium.

He is an executive member of the British Society for Paediatric Dermatology and he has received many national prizes and awards for his work. His key areas of interest include the atopic eczema, vascular birthmarks including hameangiomas, genetic skin diseases.
Tim works alongside allergists and geneticists at the children’s hospital and is the clincal lead for paediatric dermatology at Salford Royal.
Dr Clayton regularly perfoms skin surgery on children of all ages in his NHS clinics at Salford and Manchester. This is usually undertaken with local anaesthetic, although he does undertake laser surgery and occaisional skin biopsies under general anaesthetic.
Tim also runs a one-day course for medical professionals on behalf of the national eczema society.
Tim also undertakes private paediatric dermatology consultations for children of all ages at his 76 King Street clinic in central Manchester.
